This week, Baby Goodnight has grown to a whooping 8.5 inches from head to rump and weighs about 1.5 pounds. 8.5 inches is as wide as a letter-sized piece of computer paper and about as long an ear of corn. It’s pretty amazing that she’s already grown this big so far, and even more amazing that she’ll be a normal sized baby in just 17 weeks or so!
I’ve been faithfully drinking water like crazy, which is great, except for all the bathroom trips I have to make as a result. 🙂 I can’t figure out whether I woke up last night around 3:30 because I had to use the bathroom or if she was kicking me so much that I woke up. Either way, it’s been interesting to get used to waking up in the middle of the night. I’m thankful for the preparation for late night wake-ups!
We have had some serious additions to Baby Goodnight’s room this week. We were blessed with the overwhelming generosity of some dear friends who gave us a plethora of completely brand new samples of baby paraphernalia. With the new things in her room, we got motivated and picked out paint! J wanted a light purple and I was leaning toward a more neutral grey, so we agreed on a grey with purple undertones. We haven’t gotten as far as actually painting the room yet, but just having the paint is a big step in the right direction!!
I’m pretty sure the next 17 weeks are going to FLY by!!
