Shower #2!

My aunt and cousin threw a beautiful family shower for us on Sunday! It was so lovely to visit with so many of my female family members. It had been far too long since I’d seen my cousins’ children–they’re so big now! My oldest second cousin is 13 (!!) which is how old I was when she was born–It’s hard to believe we’ve both grown up so quickly. I didn’t get many pictures from this shower, but the ones I was sent are fabulous!

When I got home from work yesterday, Jason had the crib all assembled!! It feels good to have one more thing taken care of! I’ll be working on making a crib skirt this weekend to match the curtains I made a few weeks ago. I’m excited!!!

We go to our second childbirth preparation class tonight–we really enjoyed the first one last week, though the vivid-nature of the childbirth related vocabulary was a little shocking for my sweet husband!!! We get to watch a video of childbirth tonight–adventures abound!!! 🙂

  1. You look fabulous and yes you and your family are very blessed. You and Jason will be wonderful parents. What a blessing!!!

    • Hi Kelly!! I don’t know what a Bradley class is… We’re just taking the class the hospital offers. The curriculum, if you can call it that, is through “InJoy Birth and Parenting Education”. The labor nurse that is teaching the class incorporates a lot of Lamaze information as well and a good bit of her own “two-cents”. It’s been really great to learn more about what’s happening and what will happen with other first time parents. I’m really glad we’re taking the class!! If you have time, check out my latest post for a picture of my crib skirt! I used your tutorial and I think it turned out really well!!
